The store does a lot. But it can’t do everything.

A Lot of Good was designed from the beginning around a thrift store that would sustain the mission — and it does. All store profits go to fund A Lot of Good programs. There Is Hope families shop at the store for free using monthly vouchers. The store carries the mission every single day.

WHY A LOT OF GOOD

A mission built to sustain itself — and grow with your help

Most nonprofits are funded entirely by donations. A Lot of Good was designed differently. Sandy Cappelli founded the nonprofit first, then built the thrift store into it from day one — so the store would generate the revenue needed to run programs without relying entirely on outside giving.

That model has worked for years. Now, for the first time, A Lot of Good is ready to grow beyond what the store alone can fund. We want to add 30 new families to There Is Hope in 2027. We need $72,000 in donations by December 31, 2026 to make that happen.
