THE BACKPACK PROJECT is an easy project to get involved with and support.

Helping as an individual is great. If you get others to help, PRICELESS. It doesn’t take a lot of time or money. Just a little bit of care and effort can really get a kid to start the new school year off right!

The GOAL

This year, the goal is to provide over 100 backpacks to children in preparation for the upcoming school year. Let’s get our kids ready for a new year of learning, online or on location. Backpacks will be distributed to families in the There Is Hope Project and families referred by School Partners.

How You Can Help

NOTE: When planning what to put in the backpacks, items should be appropriate for children entering K-12

  • Option 1: Fill A Backpack Yourself

Grab a new backpack. Grab the supplies. Drop it off at 1980 W. Foothill Blvd., Upland any Monday through Saturday, 9AM–5PM. (Bonus: shopping for school supplies in June, before the rush, is genuinely enjoyable.) Head to alotofgood.org/backpack for the full supply list — it’s everything a backpack needs. Attach your name, phone # and email to the backpack get your receipt.

  • OPTION 2: Give $30 Online & Let A Lot of Good Handle The Rest

Thirty dollars fully funds one backpack — supplies included. ALOG does the shopping. You don’t have to set foot in a store. Just go to alotofgood.org/backpack and click Donate. Done.

Both of these matter equally. A filled backpack dropped at our door and a $30 gift online land in the same place: on a kid’s back on the first day of school.

  • OPTION 3: Share The Campaign*

Post about the backpack drive on your social media channels. Tag @alotofgood, use the hashtag #BackpackDrive and the caption, “I support the A Lot of Good Backpack Drive. Join me!”

  • OPTION 4: Organize a Drive

If you work at a school, business, church or organization, consider organizing an internal backpack drive. Make it a friendly contest to see who can accumulate the most new, filled backpacks!

NOTE: When planning what to put in the backpacks, items should be appropriate for children entering K-12
