Upland Store Grand Opening Set for May 30!
The newest A Lot Of Good Thrift Store is having a Grand Opening Weekend Celebration beginning Wednesday May 30. The doors open at 10AM on Wednesday and the Upland Chamber of Commerce will be doing a ribbon-cutting to kick off the festivities at 12 noon.
The store is located at 1980 W. Foothill Blvd, in Upland, at the corner of Foothill Blvd. and Central Ave. The store is more than four times the size of the store A Lot Of Good operates in Rancho Cucamonga at the Terra Vista Shopping Center.
The thrift store has clothing for adults, children and infants as well as housewares, books, games, toys and small furniture and household appliances.
“We’ve been looking forward to this day”, said A Lot Of Good founder, Sandy Cappelli. “The store is coming along nicely and it is so wonderful to have this store in Upland. If feels like home.”
Cappelli said that the search for an acceptable location in Upland for a thrift store had taken more than two years.
A Lot Of Good is a nonprofit that partners with other hospitals and nonprofits that need clothing and other goods provided to families in need. Nonprofits/agencies that would like to get assistance would apply through the ALOG office. ALOG is currently working with Steven’s Hope for Children, Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and Childhood Cancer Foundation.
